Manchester City revealed Football Academy training complex


BAM Construction will begin work in the coming weeks on the 80 acre site adjacent to the Etihad Stadium.
The City Football Academy will provide a centre for up to 400 young players, will house the first team training base and Manchester City's operations functions.
It will include; classrooms for 200, on site accomodation for junior and senior players, 16.5 football pitches, a first team building with changing rooms, a gym, a refectory and injury centre, a 7000 capacity stadium for youth matches, offices and a media centre.
Ferran Soriano, CEO of Manchester City Football Club said: “The development of young and home grown players is central to our strategy of creating both a winning team and a sustainable football club.
"We are now in a position, after four years of research and planning, to execute that strategy and we are delighted to join with BAM who will play a large part in helping us to do so
